Phyllis Sharps, PhD, RN, FAAN, Professor Emerita, Johns Hopkins School of Nursing (JHSON). Formerly at JHSON, the Elsie M. Lawler Endowed Chair, Associate Dean for Community Programs and Initiatives, and the Director for the Center for Community Innovations and Scholarships. Her research targets impact of perinatal IPV on African American women and their infants. She has received $7M in NIH funding to support the Domestic Violence Enhanced Home Visitation – DOVE, a nurse intervention reducing perinatal IPV.  She is Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and a member of the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame, Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.  Dr. Sharps is an alumnus of the ANA-MFP.
